* From the manufacturer’s website below
The PRS Studio is a model that modernizes the traditional S-S-H (single-single-humbucker) pickup layout in true PRS style.
This model combines the single-coil sound of the Narrowfield pickups—which offer a pleasant attack and bite—with the vintage sound of the McCarty III pickup in a single guitar. It features PRS’s original Narrowfield pickups in the middle and bass positions, and a McCarty III humbucker in the treble position.Inspired by vintage guitars and capable of producing a warm, rich vintage tone, the McCarty III pickup embodies all the expertise Paul Reed Smith and the PRS new product engineering team have cultivated in recent years—from extensive research into vintage pickups to advancements in sound analysis and tuning technology.
In addition to the three-pickup layout, the push/pull tone knob provides coil-tap functionality, allowing for a total of seven different sound variations.
Other specifications include a maple top, mahogany back, a mahogany neck with 22 frets and a 25-inch scale, and a rosewood fingerboard.
Equipped with Phase III locking tuners and a PRS-original Gen III tremolo unit, this Studio model delivers exceptional tuning stability and maximizes string vibration, meeting the needs of musicians across a wide range of genres.
