The Imperial is one of Fodera’s flagship models, featuring a single-cut design that exudes a beauty almost like a work of art.
While multi-string models are more common on the market, this new arrival is a 5-string, 36-inch model.

The first thing that catches the eye is the body, which appears to feature a vivid back-eye birch top. The stunning maple through-neck, constructed with two maple wings, is of such high quality that it’s no exaggeration to call it a work of art. This is truly the quintessential material for this model.
It’s equipped with a Lane Poor JB5 pickup. You can enjoy a clear, crystalline NYC sound that seems to embody the very definition of “high quality.” It pairs perfectly with the original preamp featuring an orthodox 3-band EQ, making it no surprise that it’s beloved by countless studio musicians.

While the main components have not been modified, the strap pin is missing.
However, the neck is currently in good condition. The truss rod is a bit stiff, but I was able to confirm it moves about half a turn. Since adjusting the truss rod with the included genuine wrench is difficult, I tested its operation using an L-shaped wrench of the same specification.

Fodera is a leading brand in high-end basses. Although it’s a classic model, only a handful of people have actually had the chance to hold one in their hands.
