[SN 521982] USED MARTIN / D-28, manufactured in 1992 [03]
Built-in Pickup! D-28 in Player's Condition!
This 1992 D-28 features an adjustable truss rod, a 42.9mm-wide nut, non-scalloped bracing, a decal logo, Gotoh Rotomatic tuners, and a black pickguard.
There are repair marks where the bridge was once detached, and a black stain has appeared beneath the bridge. Additionally, there are some minor dents, scratches, scuffs, a slight haze on the finish, slight tarnish on the plating of metal parts, and partial gloss on the satin finish on the back of the neck; however, there is no noticeable damage.
A passive under-saddle pickup has been retrofitted. While there is limited adjustment range left on the truss rod, the neck is currently in proper condition. The frets have been dressed and show no dents, with over 70% of their original height remaining. Both playability and sound are impeccable.
While it delivers the rich, full-bodied tone characteristic of non-scalloped bracing, the bass is tight, and the sound is well-balanced all the way up to the treble. This is a “Player’s Condition” instrument with built-in pickups.
