[SN S816463] USED FENDER / 1980 Telecaster Custom Olympic White [03]
Based on the pot date, pickup date, and other specifications, we have determined this to be a 1980 model.
It features a white-finished ash body and a maple neck, along with a 6-way saddle, Strat-style control knobs, and conductive paint applied beneath the finish—all typical of this era.
It is equipped with a single-coil pickup with gray bobbins in the bridge position and a wide-range humbucker with an ’80s date stamp in the neck position.
It delivers a wide range of tones, from a rich, glossy sound to the twangy tone characteristic of a Telecaster.
The pot dates are visible in three places, confirming a 1979 manufacture; one is illegible but is believed to be original.
While there is some slight discoloration, scratches, dents, and stand marks at the base of the headstock, it remains in very clean condition considering its age.
With very few of these on the market, this Telecaster Custom with its white finish is exceptionally cool!
It’s a highly authentic guitar in excellent condition.
Please be sure to consider this opportunity!!
