[SN 3100087] USED G&L / Premium Series SB-2 Silver Flake JIRO Made in Japan [03]
This is a 4-string bass featuring a PJ pickup configuration from "G&L," a brand founded in 1980 by Leo Fender, the founder of Fender Guitars, and his longtime ally George Frampton.
Featuring a silver metallic finish with flecks and a mirror pickguard, this model looks stunning on stageāitās the exact color scheme used by JIRO of GLAY.
This model is made in Japan (at the Fujigen factory).
Controls include 2 Volume and 1 Tone knobs.
The nut width measures 39mm, which feels slightly wider than a standard Jazz Bass
, but the neckās diameter and thickness are standard, so playability should be comfortable and not an issue.
There are a few dents on the body and headstock, scratches on the pickguard, and some discoloration on the parts, showing signs of use.
After we received it, we performed adjustmentsāincluding fret levelingāto ensure playability, so the frets (especially the higher ones) are set slightly low.
Although some maintenance has been performed, there are no issues with functionality, such as sound output.
Please consider this instrument.
