[SN L11576] USED FENDER CUSTOM SHOP / Limited 1964 L-Series Stratocaster Heavy Relic Target 3-Tone Sunburst [03]

[SN L11576] USED FENDER CUSTOM SHOP / Limited 1964 L-Series Stratocaster Heavy Relic Target 3-Tone Sunburst [03]

2024 Limited Edition 1964 L-Series Stratocaster Heavy Relic
Released in 2024, this model recreates the ā€œL-serialā€ used from mid-1963 through mid-1965.
Featuring the "Spaghetti" logo and clay dots for the position markers, this model faithfully recreates the specifications of the first half of 1964.

It also recreates the distinctive ā€œTarget 3-Tone Sunburstā€ finish—a shade with a stronger yellow hue than the early ’60s sunburst—a feature sure to delight fans.

Featuring a select two-piece alder body that follows the narrower body widths of that era, a lift-sawn maple neck in the ā€œā€™63 Strat Style Cā€ shape with just the right grip, and a round-laminated rosewood fingerboard with a 7.25ā€ā€“9.5ā€ compound radius and Medium Vintage frets, this model offers a vintage-like appearance combined with excellent playability.

It is equipped with Hand-Wound Fat '64 pickups. Its appeal lies in its range from a clear, sweet tone to a robust, presence-filled overdrive sound.

As this is a Heavy Relic model, the details of the added scratches are unknown; however, since it was manufactured relatively recently, comes with all original accessories, and shows almost no fret wear, it is in excellent condition.

With key specifications from that era incorporated throughout, this model offers both great looks and excellent playability, making it irresistible to enthusiasts and players alike.
