This 808 MOD is the result of a collaboration between Susumu Tamura, the developer of the original TS overdrive pedal, and Ovaltone.
This modification shines a spotlight on the āsecretā op-amp that Mr. Tamura almost always incorporates into his TS-type collaborations, and has been tuned according to Ovaltoneās interpretation to maximize the characteristics of that op-amp.
The result is a sound rich in harmonics with a defined edge, a tight yet resonant low end, and a presence-filled midrangeāall combined to deliver expressive dynamics that render subtle nuances of volume and intensity with great detail.
Additionally, since the volume level is slightly higher than the standard version, I believe itās easier to control.
