[SN 85621] USED GIBSON CUSTOM / 1958 Les Paul Standard Reissue VOS Iced Tea Burst [03]
Year after year, the Custom Shopās Les Paul Standard continues to improve its reproduction of vintage Gibson guitars by refining every detail.
By revising the color tones and designs of the silkscreen decals and using naturally darker-hued cellulose material for the inlays, the guitar has evolved to feature a look and feel even closer to the original.
The 1958-style plain top paired with the Iced Tea Burst color is a classic combination, and the VOS finish and metal hardware create a perfectly vintage-like look that replicates rust and patina.
The neck features a slightly thicker ā50s Rounded Medium Cā profile, and narrow frets are used.
The pickups are the āCustombucker Alnico IIIā in an unpottered configuration, which has become a staple in recent years. These are top-of-the-line pickups that reproduce the 1950s PAF sound, offering a captivating tone characterized by the sweet, vintage-specific warmth and a clear, crisp, rich resonance.
There is a small scratch on the indentation on the headstock top near the first string, and a small linear scratch on the back of the headstock above the third-string peg; however, due to the VOS finish, these are not particularly noticeable. The hardware shows some rust and tarnish, but this is intentional to replicate the original patina.
The understated plain top, paired with a vivid and well-balanced burst finish and a deep-colored rosewood fingerboard, enhances the instrumentās beautiful, vintage-like appearance.
With no noticeable scratches and the neck in good condition, this is a highly recommended instrument that shows very little wear.
