[SN 6 2179] USED GIBSON CUSTOM / Historic Collection 1956 Les Paul Gold Top Reissue VOS Double Gold -2022- [04]
We have received a 2022 Historic Collection 1956 Les Paul Gold Top Reissue VOS Double Gold.
The body features a maple top and mahogany back.
The finish is a VOS finish with a double gold top and natural back.
Unlike the 1954 Les Paul, the inclusion of an ABR-1 bridge enhances the stability of octave tuning.
The neck features a slightly thicker “50s Rounded Medium C” profile, and the frets are the slimmer “Historic Gibson Narrow/Tall” type.
The crisp and lustrous sound of the two mounted “Custom Soapbar P90” pickups is superb—perfect for mellow jazz or for really letting loose with intense rock. It’s versatile enough for a wide range of musical styles.
The tuning pegs have been replaced from the originals with Kluson “3 per side / PB / Nickel” models.
Additionally, the tailpiece has been replaced with a heavy zinc die-cast version, and the studs have also been replaced.
The control knobs have also been replaced.
Overall, it shows minimal signs of use, limited to minor scuffs, though there are some small scratches around the tailpiece studs.
The neck is in good condition; while the truss rod is slightly tightened, there is still some adjustment room left.
The frets show almost no wear, so the playing condition is excellent.
It comes with the original brown case and a certificate of authenticity.
