Fender Custom Shop 1956 Straticaster 2-Tone Sunburst Aged Mod
The body is made of alder; it was originally NOS but has been aged. The neck is maple, and like the body, both the fingerboard and the back of the neck have been aged.
Controls: 1 Volume / 1 Tone / 3-Way Switch
The volume and tone pots, as well as the 3-way switch, have been replaced and are not original.
Pickups: Neck pickup date: 11-07-01
Bridge pickup date: 4-6-06 AY (signed by Abigail Ibarra)
The middle pickup looks identical, but it has no date or signature.
Since there is a four-year gap between the neck pickup’s date and the bridge pickup’s date, they are likely from different models.
However, the sound is excellent—truly befitting Abigail Ibarra.
The pickguard is a single-ply white one that matches the specs, but this has also been replaced with an aftermarket part.
Both the neck and truss rod are in good condition.
As for overall scratches, since the guitar has been aged, it’s unclear whether they are recent or original.
