Since its debut in 1976, the StingRay—beloved by guitarists worldwide—has been reborn as the more refined StingRay Special.
The neck features carefully selected roasted maple.
The frets are made of hard stainless steel, and the fingerboard is crafted from roasted maple, rosewood, or ebony, depending on the body color.
The body is crafted from ash and equipped with pickups featuring neodymium magnets.
Building on the core of the traditional Stingray sound, it has been upgraded with a new 18V active preamp, and the increased headroom allows for a wide range of expression, from classic vintage tones to modern, punchy sounds.
The body contour has been made rounder, and a 5-point neck joint has been adopted to enable stress-free playing.
In addition, the hardware has been redesigned and carefully selected lightweight ash wood has been used to reduce the overall weight.
