[SN 61590] USED Gibson Custom Shop / Standard Historic 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue VOS Hand-Selected NOSF [05]
The Historic Collection underwent major specification changes in 2013. The Historic Collection was further updated in 2014. Subsequently, in 2015, the flagship True Historic model was introduced, bringing the popular Historic Collection to a regrettable end. However, in 2016, the Standard Historic was released, inheriting the specifications of the 2014 Historic Collection. This particular instrument features hand-selected local wood and is equipped with E-Bucker pickups. It boasts a beautiful grain pattern on the top that shimmers and changes depending on the angle. While it shows some signs of use due to its popularity and high practicality, it’s still a guitar we’d love to see played actively. As it’s a VOS model, the hardware naturally has some patina, but some screws and other hardware parts do show rust.Notable scratches include a buckle mark on the back of the body and a scratch on the headstock. Otherwise, there are scattered fine scratches and small dents, and the reddish hue of the aniline dye has faded slightly. The control knobs also have cracks common to instruments of this era, but there appears to be no immediate risk of them breaking. The frets still have plenty of height remaining, so playability is not an issue. We highly recommend this guitar to players seeking a practical instrument.
