Tom Murphy, a master of aging who has led Gibson’s aging efforts for many years.
He established a lab bearing his name within the Gibson Custom Shop in Nashville, Tennessee, where his team utilizes the latest techniques based on scientific research to age guitars.
The model we have in stock is a 1959-style ES-355 built in 2022.
It features binding wrapped around both sides of the body and the neck/headstock, along with split diamond inlays on the headstock top.
This is the top-of-the-line model in the company’s ES series, featuring block inlays starting at the first fret on the ebony fingerboard and gold hardware.
The jet-black ebony finish and gold hardware create a look that is both luxurious and elegant.
The Ultra Light Aged finish has matured over time, evolving into an even more distinctive look.
It comes with a full set of accessories, including the original hard case, a Murphy Lab certificate of authenticity, a Pre-Pack Checklist with the date, and various documents.
