A well-preserved 2008 Fender Custom Shop Jaco Pastorius Relic with minimal wear has arrived
A faithful reproduction of the 1962 Jazz Bass beloved by Jaco Pastorius. Its most distinctive feature is the approximately 1.5mm-thick epoxy coating on the fingerboard, which was originally intended to protect the fingerboard from round-wound strings but ultimately resulted in a sound characterized by its distinctive attack.
The paint peeling visible throughout the body, the traces of wood showing through, the screw holes in the pickguard, and even the marks where the mute was removed have all been faithfully recreated based on the original instrument.
