[SN O016560] USED FENDER JAPAN / TLG80-550 BLK [06]
This Fender Japan Telecaster TLG80-550 (marked āTLG80-550ā inside the neck pocket; serial numbers correspond to the TLG80-60/TLG80-70 production periods listed in the catalog) features a basswood body, maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, TL-CULLENT (JAPAN) pickups, a matching headstock, and gold hardware.
The strap pins have been replaced with Schaller-type pins (no strap hardware on the strap side), the pots have been replaced with CTS units, and the circuit has been modified to a high-pass configuration.
Significant signs of wear are visible (including dents and paint chips from around the headstock to the outer edge of the body; intentional scratches, minor scratches, and scuff marks on the top; wear marks, playing lines, picking marks, and buckle marks; as well as tarnish, pitting, and rust on metal parts and screws, among other cosmetic damage). The inner pocket of the hard case is missing its handle.
The guitar was set up upon arrival (cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, octave adjustment, string height adjustment, and fret leveling). While the fret tops are slightly lower due to the leveling process, they are still at a height suitable for playing. The truss rod has been tested to move 60° in both directions and is in good working order.
Condition Grade: B+: Some scratches are present, but the instrument is suitable for normal use.
