[SN 4 86535] USED PAUL REED SMITH / 2004 Custom 22 Moon Inlay Cherry Sunburst Wide Fat Neck [06]
Custom 22
Compared to the Custom 24, the Custom 22 is a PRS staple with a distinct character, though it was imported in extremely limited quantities to Japan. With two fewer frets than the flagship Custom 24 model, differences in the body construction and pickup placement result in a richer, more musical soundâone of the hallmarks of this PRS classic.
Body, Neck, and Fingerboard
The body features a classic combination of a flamed maple top, mahogany back, and mahogany neck. The fingerboard is made of Indian rosewood.
Neck Shape
The neck shape is âWide Fat.â With moderate thickness, it offers a comfortable grip without feeling cumbersome to play.
Pickups
The guitar comes equipped with a set of the classic âDragon IIâ pickups. Featuring Alnico 4 magnets, they deliver a very versatile tone that retains McCartyâs vintage feel while also offering a powerful, punchy sound.
Switch, etc.
The diverse sounds produced by the 5-way rotary switch are well-suited for a wide range of musical genres. In particular, the coil-tap sound in the mix position is unique to this 5-way rotary configuration.
PRS has long been loved by guitarists across various genres. Youâre sure to experience maximum performance in a variety of settings, including live shows, sessions, and recording.
Condition
There is a minor crack in the finish behind the 6th string tuner. There are also signs that a chip in the wood at the tip of the headstock has been glued back in place. Additionally, there are scattered buckle marks, fine scuffs, and dents, and some parts show signs of tarnish; however, the neck, frets, truss rod, and all other components related to playability are in perfect working order.
Furthermore, upon arrival, our repair center performed a full adjustment and fret leveling, so you can use this guitar with confidence.
