[SN 90903390] USED Gibson / Chet Atkins CE Antique Natural (3.54 kg / Manufactured in 1993) Gibson Electric Classical Guitar [08]
One model from the Chet Atkins Collection.
It is arguably the one-of-a-kind and most famous model in Gibsonās electric classical guitar lineup.
It was introduced around 1981 and remained in production until around 2006.
Featuring a 12th-fret joint and a 14.5" wide body, it has a solid spruce top and a chambered mahogany back.
The simulated round soundhole features a pre-War script logo and signature.
The mahogany neck, with a nut width of approximately 46 mm and a 25.5" long scale, features a rosewood fingerboard.
It is equipped with a classic-style pickup, and volume and tone controls are accessible via a roller on the side of the body.
Made in the USA
Upon arrival, it was cleaned, restrung, had its truss rod adjusted, was straightened with an iron, and had its frets leveled.
It has also been serviced at a renowned guitar workshop!
The saddle shims have been adjusted (raised), and copper plates have been added to the ends of the saddles to reduce noise on strings 4 through 6; the strings are routed through the holes at the ends of the saddles and grounded.
The truss rod has been tested up to 60 degrees in both directions and is functioning properly; while the frets are low, they remain at a level that does not interfere with playing.
Overall, there is some paint wear, and fine dents, scuffs, and scratches are scattered throughout.
There are several touch-up spots on the upper and lower edges of the body back near the 1st string. The metal parts show some tarnish.
It appears the frets have been refretted in the past.
It shows signs of use, but playability is excellent!
The body is appealing because even players who usually use solid-body electric guitars can transition to it seamlessly!
The guitar has been thoroughly treated to reduce noise, so you can play comfortably and stress-free!
