[SN 91290018] USED Gibson / J-45 Vintage Sunburst (1990) Gibson Acoustic Guitar [08]
The "J-45," introduced around 1942, is arguably the face of Gibson acoustic guitars.
There is no doubt that this model has captivated the world since its inception, continues to do so today, and will continue to do so in the future.
Made in the USA at the Montana factory
The all-solid round-shouldered body features a spruce top and mahogany sides and back.
The top features scalloped X-bracing, and the guitar is equipped with a rosewood upper-belly bridge and a teardrop pickguard.
The mahogany neck, with a nut width of approximately 43.5 mm and a 24.75" Gibson scale, is fitted with a rosewood fingerboard.
The headstock is equipped with Kluson-style tuners engraved with āGIBSON DELUXE.ā
* The frets, saddle, and bridge pins have been replaced. An additional strap pin has been added to the neck heel.
* There are traces of previously installed pickups, and the endpin has been replaced with an end jack. * Currently configured as a non-pickup model.
* The nut has been adjusted using shims on the underside.
Since its arrival, it has been cleaned, restrung, had its truss rod adjusted, and the frets have been leveled.
It has also been serviced at a renowned guitar workshop!
There was a crack on the top, extending from around the 6th string near the bridge to the lower part of the top, so it has been glued and treated to prevent further cracking.
There were cracks on the back of the body near the 1st and 6th strings, so after humidification, they were glued, treated to prevent further cracking, and sanded.
The detached top and back bracing has been repaired (re-glued).
The bridge detachment has been repaired (re-glued).
The truss rod has been checked up to 60 degrees in both directions and is functioning properly; the frets retain sufficient height for playable conditions.
Overall, there are numerous dents, scuffs, scratches, paint chips, and crack repair marks visible throughout the instrument. Weather cracks and paint cracks are also visible in some areas.
While it shows significant signs of wear and aging, playability is excellent!
It produces a powerful sound with a condensed range characteristic of a round-shoulder guitar, a sound that truly reflects its history of being played for over 35 years!
Itās still going strong! Highly recommended for players who want to keep playing it to the fullest!
