[SN E082] USED Gibson USA / 1982 Moderne Heritage Korina [3.51 kg / Manufactured in 1982] Gibson Moderne [08]
The “Moderne,” a variant developed around 1958 alongside the Flying V and Explorer, is a legendary model. Although designed in the 1950s, it was never put into production and is often referred to as a “phantom guitar.”
It features a Korina body, a three-piece Korina neck, and a rosewood fingerboard, along with a distinctive headstock shape, gold hardware, and headstock logo.It is equipped with “stamped numbered PAF” pickups (PotDate: R1378229/1378029/-). Even when the gain is turned up, the sound remains clear without distortion, offering excellent separation where each note is distinctly audible. Combined with the lightweight Korina body, this guitar delivers a vintage sound characterized by a rich, mellow tone.
The handle on the hard case has been replaced with a replacement part. There are scratches and dents on the headstock and body perimeter, paint chips around the tuning pegs, and weather cracks throughout; however, considering its age, it remains in fairly good condition.
It was set up upon arrival (cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, octave adjustment, and string height adjustment). The frets are at a height that poses no issues for playing, and the truss rod has been tested to 60 degrees in both directions and is in good working order.
