This Stratocaster is based on āBlackieāāthe iconic guitar that Eric Clapton used as his main instrument until his retirement. It features an alder body, a one-piece maple neck with a soft V-shape, a 9.5R fingerboard with a 42mm nut, and three Vintage Noiseless pickups, along with volume and TBX controls and a 25dB mid-boost.
Thanks to the TBX controller and mid-boost circuit, this model offers a stable tone while providing the flexibility to handle both lead and chord work with ease. Itās a guitar beloved by manyānot just fansāand is suitable for professional use.
(Non-stock tremolo arm; the fixed tremolo wood block is missing. Visible signs of wear include discoloration, paint cracks around the joint plate caused by tightening, scuffs and playing lines, picking marks, clouded position marks, string-press marks on the fingerboard surface, a glossy sheen and ring marks on the back of the neck from playing,warping characteristic of the 8-point pickguard mounting, warping of the back panel, and tarnish or pitting on metal parts and screws, among other cosmetic damage).
The instrument was set up upon arrival (cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, octave adjustment, and string action adjustment). The frets are at a height suitable for playing, and the truss rod has been tested up to 60° in both directions and is in good working order.
