[SN 565964] USED LUDWIG / No. 912 1960s School Festival Custom 14x6.5 Snare Drum [08]
The School Festival snare drum, a classic 1960s Radick Wood snare,
The School Festival Snare is the 6.5-inch-deep version of the Jazz Festival.
Serial number 565964; based on the stamp inside the drum, it is believed to have been manufactured in 1968.
This particular drum has an extra hole on the back of the switch, so it may be a modified version of the âSymphonic Modelâ featuring the Super Classics switch.
The shell is a 3-ply maple/poplar/mahogany shell with maple reinforcement,
(with a white interior finish).
With 8 tension and a depth of 6.5 inches, this snare has a fatter, more open soundâwarm yet powerfulâmaking it a good fit for rock music.
The hoops are not original.
As expected for its age, there are minor scratches and pits on the parts, and while it is a custom instrument in âplayerâs condition,â there are no noticeable defects or damage, the sound is excellent, and it is still fully functional.
Condition Grade: B: Shows significant scratches and signs of use, but is suitable for normal use
