As a long-established acoustic guitar brand, Martin has begun focusing its efforts on âforest conservation activities.â In 1989, the company began producing a new model using a compressed laminate material known as âHigh-Pressure Laminate (HPL).â By pressing wood fibers using a special compression method and processing sheets with a woodgrain pattern, theyâve created bodies in a variety of styles.
While the standard scale length for Martin guitars is typically 25.4 inches, this modelâs compact 23-inch (approx. 584 mm) scale length is its main appeal! (The guitarâs total length is approx. 864 mmâabout 5/6 the size of a standard model.) Itâs a great choice for outdoor use and for children.
* It can be played in standard tuning.
Although there are some signs of use (scratches, wipe marks, slight warping around the bridge, etc.), it is in good condition.
It was set up upon arrival (cleaned, strings replaced, truss rod adjusted, and burrs removed). The frets are at a height that poses no problem for playing, and the truss rod has been checked to move smoothly from 60° to 60° in both directions and is in good working order.
