With its striking appearance, this âGuitarlinââa combination of guitar and mandolinâis a reissue model of the Danelectro G-MANDOLIN/Guitarlin, which was sold from around 1998 to 2004.
It features a Masonite hollow body with taping on the sides, a maple neck, a rosewood fingerboard boasting 31 frets that cover the mandolinâs range, a lipstick pickup, a metal nut, and a two-knob tone/volume control.
As a reissue model, it features GOTOH tuners and a 6-way bridge, making it very user-friendly. It has a unique sound that has earned it many loyal fans, and its atmospheric appearance is also a major draw.
There are signs of wear (including some fading on the headstock logo, a partial chip in the 4th-string tuning peg washerâlikely present since manufactureâas well as scuffs, playing lines, picking marks, and tarnish or pitting on metal parts and screws, among other cosmetic damage).
It was set up upon arrival (cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, octave adjustment, and action adjustment).
