[SN G11242] USED Hofner / 500/1 VINTAGE 62 [09]
A German-made contrabass crafted with a focus on the 1962 style and refined through numerous improvements to the details.
The body is made of spruce and flamed maple, the neck is maple, and the fingerboard is rosewood.
The neck has been straightened, and the frets have been leveled.
The metal bracket securing the pickguard near the bridge is broken, causing the bottom edge of the pickguard to wobble. Additionally, a scratchy noise may occur when operating the switches. The instrument will be delivered in its current condition.
A strap attachment is installed at the strap pin on the body end, but the corresponding strap is missing.
There are scuff marks on the headstock and body; the top and sides of the body have numerous cracks in the finish; the escutcheon is cracked; and the metal parts show discoloration, tarnish, and pitting.
