Using Yamahaâs proprietary analysis technology, weâve refined the bracing system, incorporating a newly designed scalloped bracing pattern on the top and bracing specifically developed for cutaway models on the back. This achieves a rich, full-bodied soundâeven with a cutawayâalong with powerful resonance in the mid-to-low frequencies!
The body features a cutaway and a tapered folk-style shape, constructed entirely of solid wood with Sitka spruce for the top and mahogany for the sides and back.
The spruce top has been treated with our proprietary "A.R.E. (Acoustic Resonance Enhancement)" process. This achieves a rich tone reminiscent of a guitar that has been played for many years!!
The pickups utilize the newly developed âSRT2â system, an evolution of the âSRT (Studio Response Technology)â system. While retaining the sound characteristics of the âSRTâ systemâwhich delivers an acoustic sound rich in ambience, as if recorded by a top-tier sound engineer in a studioâthe system has been streamlined by carefully selecting only essential functions, resulting in high operability ideal for stage performances and practice sessions.The pickup unit features individual piezo elements for each string, allowing players to easily create their desired sound by blending the piezo pickupâs tone with the sound produced by the âSRT2â system.
