[SN 754388] USED Martin / D-35 2000 [10]
The dreadnought D-35 was born in 1965 and is characterized by its three-piece backwoods, called "3-piece back".
In the 1960s, the Brazilian government banned the export of Brazilian rosewood (Hakaranda) in log form in order to conserve resources. To save on materials, the "3-piece" BACK wood was adopted, and the "D-35" was born.
The top is made of Sitka spruce, and the side and back are made of Indian rosewood. Fingerboard and bridge are Ebony.
The body has wipe scratches, scuffs, line scratches, and dents. The pickguard has picking scratches in a thin and fine manner. The top of the body is dotted with large and small dents, mainly on the lower part of the body, but they are not deep and can be seen in the light. There is a scratch on the lower right part of the pickguard. There are also some minor scratches on the sides of the body, mainly on the lower part of the body. The upper center of the body back has a cloudy buckle scratch, and there are minor scratches and dings throughout. The back of the neck is a little shiny, and there is a little stickiness that is common, but it is not bothersome. The head also has uneven satin. The nut has been replaced.
The neck is in good condition, and the truss rod can be adjusted to tighten or loosen. There are no noticeable string marks on the frets, and about 70% of the frets are left. The current string height is adjusted at about 2.2mm on the 12F 6th string side and about 1.7mm on the 1st string side. The saddle height is still a little high, and there is still room for adjustment here.
Overall, there are signs of use commensurate with its age, but there is no noticeable damage. The delicate and gentle sound is unique to the 35! Low string height for good playability!
Neck condition is fine.
Adjustable truss rod can be tightened or loosened.
About 70% frets left.
