[SN SZ0177350] USED Fender USA / Eric Clapton Stratocaster "Blackie" with Lace Sensor Gold Pickups, 2000 [10]
A 2000 Fender USA Eric Clapton Stratocaster has arrived in stock.
This is a late-production model featuring a set of Race Sensor Pickups in their gold version.
With these Gold Race Sensor pickups, you might just feel like Eric Clapton at the Royal Albert Hall.
Also, since it was made in 2000, the headstock features the improved âCloisonnĂ©â design with its stylish French curve lines.
Although this guitar is now 26 years old, not only the master volume but also the TBX tone control, the master active mid-boost control, and the mid-boost circuit are all in good working order.
Cosmetic Condition
Various scratches and other signs of wear, as well as deterioration and corrosion of the plating on metal parts, are present due to its age.
There is wear and damage to the finish near the edges of the neck grip on the G-string side, from the 6th fret to the 15th fret.
Additionally, there is a dent less than 1 centimeter in size near the 12th fret, but no other noticeable damage is apparent on the rest of the fingerboard.
You may notice some variation in the torque feel of the individual machine heads (pegs), but it is unlikely that they are out of tune enough to interfere with playing.
Therefore, for users and players familiar with vintage guitars or older U.S.-made models, this weathered appearance might actually be a welcome feature.
Parts that may have been replaced
(1) The 5-position blade lever switch is an Oak 5-way lever switch, just like the original, but it appears to have been replaced in recent yearsâpossibly due to wear and tear. Additionally, the screws used to mount the switch are the same type that came with the part.
(2) The output jack may also have been replaced with a Switchcraft Stereo Jack #12B, consistent with the original, possibly due to wear and tear.
Since parts equivalent to the original specifications have been used in all cases and the soldering work is beautifully executed, I canât help but feel this is the work of a professional repair.
