[SN IMJ260635] YAMAHA / LL16 ARE Natural [11]
The L Series is renowned worldwide as Yamahaâs premier acoustic guitar.
Even 40 years after its release, the âLâ continues to be cherished by countless artists as a legendary instrument⊠and the reason for its enduring value is simple: it has consistently delivered the sound and playability demanded by each era at the highest level. The L Series ushered in a new era of acoustic guitars in Japan, has continued to evolve with the times, and has always responded to the needs of its players. That is the L Series.
Featuring an original jumbo body and an all-solid construction, it features Ingleman spruce for the top and rosewood for the sides and back.
The top wood has been treated with our proprietary âA.R.E. (Acoustic Resonance Enhancement)â process, previously used on high-end L Series models such as the LL26 and LL36. This achieves a rich, resonant tone reminiscent of a guitar thatâs been played for many years!!
The bracing remains non-scalloped X-bracing, as in previous models, but for this redesign, the bracing has been lowered and its shape changed to a square profile. This ensures that the intersection points of the X fit together perfectly!
The neck has been changed from the conventional 3-piece construction to a 5-piece structure combining mahogany and rosewood, providing greater strength against warping and twisting! Additionally, the neck is tapered by 1 mm at the 10th fret, improving playability in the higher positions! Furthermore, the rounded cut of the fingerboard edges ensures a smooth playing experience that fits comfortably in your hand!
In the new model, the string action and string spacing have also been adjusted: the 6th string is set slightly lower and the 1st string slightly higher than before, and the string spacing has been widened by 0.3 mm.
This new model is equipped with a âpassive pickup,â allowing you to connect it directly to an amplifier. (Cable sold separately.)
The pickups use the same piezo elements as those found in SRT models used in electro-acoustic guitars like the APX and CPX. They offer excellent response and ample output!
A âdouble-action truss rodââwhich was not included in the early L Series modelsâhas been installed, providing adjustment for both positive and negative bow.
