[SN 3968] USED YAMAHA / SL-500 Studio Lord Brown Sunburst [11]
Based on classic Les Paul specifications, this Japanese vintage model is finished with Yamahaâs signature high precision and solid craftsmanship.
It features traditional specifications such as a set-neck construction, a dual-humbucker layout, and a Tune-O-Matic-style bridge. Characterized by the rich sustain and powerful tone produced by its 4.25 kg weight, it delivers a sound with a solid, commanding presence. The humbuckers offer a tone with rich midrange depth, handling everything from clean to distorted sounds with ease. They respond well to picking, faithfully conveying the playerâs nuances.
Combining the rugged construction and practicality typical of Japanese guitars from the late 1970s, this is a versatile instrument suitable for a wide range of genres, including blues and classic rock. This model allows you to fully appreciate the appeal of the Studio Lord series, which has been gaining increasing recognition in overseas markets in recent years.
The head of the escutcheon screw on the upper left of the front pickup is slightly stripped, so it does not fit properly and cannot be turned.
There are some minor scratches, dents, and tarnish on the metal, but no particularly noticeable damage.
The neck has significant bow, and since the truss rod is fully tightened, adjustments are difficult. We have adjusted it to a playable condition through filing, but the string action is low at both the low and high frets, resulting in occasional string buzz. To improve the condition in the future, a refret or other repairs involving fingerboard correction may be necessary.
Please be aware of this in advance.
