[SN 122413] USED Atelier Z / JHJ-189 Matte Black [11]

[SN 122413] USED Atelier Z / JHJ-189 Matte Black [11]

Atelier Z JHJ-189 MBK

The flagship model of the JHJ series, combining the playability of a JB-style pickup with the power of a humbucker. It features JB-style pickups in the front and rear positions and a humbucker in the center, allowing you to instantly switch between sounds using a mini-switch. This stage-ready design delivers everything from a delicate, clear JB sound to a powerful, punchy tone—all in a single guitar.

The control layout consists of front volume, rear volume (with push/pull to toggle between active and passive modes), a 2-band EQ, and humbucker volume. This allows for intuitive tone shaping even while playing, offering high on-stage versatility without the need to switch guitars.

The fast-responding tone, built around an ash body and maple fingerboard, faithfully inherits Atelier Z’s signature clarity and tight low end. It seamlessly transitions from a wide-range, hi-fi sound in active mode to a natural JB tone in passive mode.

The combination of a subdued matte black finish and a mirror pickguard creates a look that is simple yet commands a strong presence.

For players who want a single instrument to handle any genre.
This is truly a performance-oriented hybrid bass that “masterfully balances two distinct personalities.”
There are signs of use, including scratches, dents, and some tarnish or rust on parts.
We’ve performed a fret leveling procedure because there were some dents visible on the frets.
The neck is in good condition, and the instrument plays well.
