[SN 161006] USED BOSS / CE-1 Chorus Ensemble [11]

[SN 161006] USED BOSS / CE-1 Chorus Ensemble [11]

This model, which can be considered the origin of BOSS, is a pedal-sized version of the legendary unit known as the world’s first chorus effect pedal.

Released in 1976 as a standalone version of the chorus circuit originally featured in the Roland JC-120 Jazz Chorus (released in 1975), its rich, three-dimensional shimmer continues to be favored by many players today. With two modes—chorus and vibrato—you can enjoy a sound with the warmth and presence unique to analog technology.

Based on the serial number ā€œ161006ā€ and the ā€œ1981ā€ printed on the power cord, this unit is believed to have been manufactured around 1981–1982. As a late-production vintage CE-1, it possesses the distinctive character and charm of a model that has been cherished for many years.
It shows some signs of use, such as minor scratches and dirt, but functions perfectly.
Note: This listing includes the unit only.
Condition Grade: B+: Some scratches, but no issues with normal use

Serial Number: 161006
Year of Manufacture: 1982
