[SN 037727] USED Atelier Z / Beta5 [11]
Building on the powerful, clear sound inherited from the M Series, this 5-string model from the BETA Series features a 24-fret design and a deep cutaway, allowing for stress-free playing all the way up to the high frets.
Its ash body, maple neck, and maple fingerboard deliver a crisp attack and clear bass tones. Equipped with a preamp featuring an active/passive switch and a mid-range control, it supports a wide range of sounds, from slap to fingerstyle.
Based on the serial number on the back of the headstock and the control layout, this instrument is believed to have been manufactured relatively early in the series. It features specifications different from more recent models, and its ability to evoke the history of Atelier Z is part of its appeal.
This model fully embodies the exceptional craftsmanship unique to high-end Japanese-made basses, combining a clear, well-defined sound—even on the low strings—with excellent playability.
Since the tuning peg for the 1st string was found to be defective, only that peg has been replaced with a new one.
There is a chip in the clear finish on the fingerboard binding on both sides of the 19th fret.
Overall, there are some scratches, dents, and tarnish on the metal parts, but there is no excessively noticeable damage.
There are no noticeable issues with the neck, and it is in good playing condition.
