[SN 74038] USED Gibson Custom / Historic Collection 1957 Les Paul Standard VOS Left-Handed Gold Top [11]

[SN 74038] USED Gibson Custom / Historic Collection 1957 Les Paul Standard VOS Left-Handed Gold Top [11]

The Classic Goldtop: The ā€œR7ā€ Left-Handed Model with a Thick Neck That Roars
The 1957 Les Paul Standard VOS Left Hand from the Gibson Custom Shop Historic Collection has arrived.
Commonly known as the ā€œR7,ā€ this model is the flagship of the Historic Reissue series, faithfully recreating the specifications from 1957—the first year PAF humbuckers were introduced.
In addition to the classic mahogany back and maple top construction, it features a solid body with no weight relief. Its appeal lies in the thick, resilient low-to-midrange tones and rich sustain born from its substantial heft. The neck features an extra-thick profile characteristic of the 1950s, offering an exceptional sense of security when gripped and a seamless integration with the instrument’s tone.
It is equipped with Custombucker pickups. The vintage PAF-like sound produced by Alnico III magnets offers excellent balance—from the sweet, full-bodied front pickup to the clear, well-defined rear pickup—and handles a wide range of tones, from clean to overdriven.
Additionally, the VOS (Vintage Original Spec) finish recreates a subdued, aged appearance on the paint and parts. Its look—which exudes a vintage vibe despite being brand new—is another major attraction.
Furthermore, this guitar is a rare left-handed model. As a Custom Shop left-handed model, it is extremely scarce on the market, making it a must-have for any left-handed player.
We invite you to experience the sound and feel that capture the very essence of a vintage Les Paul.
There are a few dents visible on the back of the body, but other than that, the guitar is in good condition with no major damage.
Due to the VOS finish, there are signs of mild aging, such as a loss of gloss in the paint and a slight tarnish on the metal parts; however, these are intentional features present since the guitar’s manufacture.
There is a crack visible on the tuning peg button, but it does not affect playability.
The neck is in good condition, and the guitar plays well.
