[SN 012089] USED Aria Pro II / SB-R60 MOD [11]
This Japanese-made model, manufactured around 1980, features excellent response and long sustain thanks to its neck-through construction. It employs a robust design combining an ash body with a 5-piece maple/walnut neck-through neck, delivering superb response and long sustain. Despite its simple single-pickup layout, it boasts a distinctive, commanding sound, and remains a highly sought-after model even today as a vintage Japanese bass.
The pickup has been replaced with an EMG 35P, and a tone frequency control has been added. A preamp labeled âMEGA M-524 SFFâ is installed inside, but details are unknown. The frequency control and mini-switch have been confirmed to be functional; however, the pot on the jack side shows a noticeable change when the frequency is rolled off, but almost no change is felt near full volume. Since the frequency controlâs response feels somewhat off, the instrument will be sold as-is.
There is a dent on the side of the 4th string at the 5th fret, and the clear coat is chipped in that area. The clear coat on the headstock is peeling.
Scratches and dents are visible overall, but there is no excessively noticeable damage.
There are no noticeable issues with the neck, and it is in good playing condition.
The truss rod is slightly stiff, and there is little adjustment left.
