[SN 1109063118] USED Taylor / 312ce Japan Limited ES1 Gloss Natural [11]
The Taylor 312ce Japan Limited (ES1)JL is a special-edition model based on the 300 Series with a Grand Concert body, finished specifically for the Japanese market. It combines a solid Sitka spruce top with mahogany-based sides and back to deliver a sound that, despite its compact size, features rich, warm midrange tones.
The exterior features a gloss finish across the entire body, giving it a striking presence on stage. Meanwhile, the back of the neck has a satin finish, balancing a smooth feel with excellent playability.
It is equipped with an early-generation Expression System 1 (ES1) pickup. Its appeal lies in its practical output characteristics—combining a natural, airy tone with moderate midrange projection—ensuring the guitar won’t get lost in an ensemble.
Thanks to its compact body design, the response is nimble, producing a well-balanced tone with crisp separation for fingerstyle playing and a focused midrange that comes to the forefront during strumming.
There are signs of wear, such as minor scratches, dents, and some discoloration on parts.
We noticed some dents on the frets, so we have performed a fret leveling.
The neck is in good condition, and the instrument plays well.
