First introduced in 1954, the Stratocaster continues to reign as the top guitar in the electric guitar world.
This particular model, manufactured in 1974, features an ash body, a one-piece maple neck, and a natural finish. Weighing in at 3.28 kg, it is a lightweight instrument. The patent number is āPAT.3,143,028,ā and the neck, pot, and pickup dates all indicate 1974.
It is equipped with 1974-dated gray-bobbin staggered pickups; the pots and capacitors are original, but the selector switch has been replaced with a 5-way model.
The strap pins have been replaced, and their positions have been changed; the original holes have been filled. All screws, including the set screws on the saddle, have been replaced. Overall, there are scratches, dents, and paint cracks; there is a crack near the truss rod adjustment hole; and there is a chip in the wood on the side of the body.
The frets and nut have been replaced, and the neck area has been relacquered accordingly.
The frets are worn down to about 50% on the 6th string side and 30% on the 1st string side; while they are on the low side, there is currently no muting or muffled sound.
The neck is in good condition, and the truss rod is adjustable.
The back panel is missing; the original black Tolex hard case is included.
