[SN 503008] USED YAMAHA / Pacifica Custom YNS [12]
The Pacifica series continues to enjoy widespread popularity even today.
This is the Pacifica Custom, the top-of-the-line model from the 1990s.
It was developed with the concept of creating the ultimate bolt-on guitar.
It was designed at Yamaha’s development facility in California and marketed as a guitar with world-class design.
The body and neck are from Warmoth, a U.S. company renowned for its replacement bodies.
The woodworking is exceptionally precise, and the finish is applied lightly, allowing for a rich, resonant low-end tone despite the bolt-on construction.
With its beautiful curly maple top and mahogany back—whose grain feels pleasant to the touch—it boasts the classic look of a high-end ’90s guitar.
It is a timeless masterpiece that remains in active use even today.
The pots and switches appear to have been replaced as well.
The pickups have been swapped from Dimarzio to Seymour Duncan (front: APH-1N, middle: SSL-6, bridge: TB-11).
The neck shows some twisting and warping, which has been corrected through leveling.
As a result of the leveling, the height at the final fret on the G-string side has been reduced to about 30% of its original height, but it is still playable.
We will need to consider replacing it during the next repair.
Although not very noticeable, there are scattered dents on the body.
Overall, there are scattered fine scratches and dents, and the hardware shows some tarnish.
Although it shows some signs of use, it has been fully serviced and cleaned at our repair center, and playability is good.
