We’ve received a shipment of Japanese-made Dakist guitars from the Arai Trading Agency era.
This 17-inch archtop model is the ā€œNew Yorker,ā€ a signature Dakist model from the 1970s, featuring a distinctive headstock shape, S-shaped soundhole, ebony parts, and headstock inlays.

It features a Sitka spruce top, flamed maple sides and back, a maple neck with an ebony fingerboard, and original floating-type humbucker pickups.

The sound faithfully reflects the airiness and nuances of your picking, whether played acoustically or through an amp, making this an exceptional instrument that embodies the qualities sought after by arch-top and pick-style guitar players.
There are scratches and dents throughout the body.
The frets have more than 70% of their original depth remaining, the neck is in good condition, and the truss rod is adjustable.
