This "throwback edition" of the original StingRay faithfully reproduces the specifications of the original StingRay, including a three-point joint with micro-tilt adjustment, a bullet truss rod that can be adjusted from the head side, and a mute-pad-equipped back-through-body bridge. The bridge is a faithful reproduction of the original StingRay's specifications.
Vintage-style humbucking pickups with long alnico 5 magnets are used, wound with single poly-nylon wire as on the original.
The preamp is a 2-band EQ, hand-wired circuit board, and mounted with a micropowered preamp using vintage-fidelity ceramic disc capacitors.
Available in three colors (black/white/vintage sunburst) and finished with a gloss polyester topcoat, this vintage-spec instrument exudes the tone and feel of the 1970s, but with modern playability and reliability.
