[SN IMI282E] YAMAHA / Pacifica Professional PACP12M BBB Beach Blue Burst [3.49 kg][S/N IMI282E] [80]
One-of-a-kind B-grade outlet item!
Due to minor scratches on the body, tarnished metal parts, and slight paint peeling resulting from event displays, this item is offered at an outlet price. There are no issues with the product or its performance. The standard warranty is included as usual.
The Pacifica Professional is a "Made in Japan" flagship model that enables highly original sound creation.
With a newly designed body optimized for acoustic performance, a neck featuring stainless steel frets and a compound radius fingerboard for superior playability, and a balanced sound from the "Reflectone" pickups co-developed with RUPERT NEVE DESIGNS, it perfectly supports the self-expression of professional guitarists.
1. Deeper top and back contours for a greater sense of unity during performance
The back contour has been deepened to ensure a natural fit when holding the guitar, and the top contour (where the elbow rests) has been changed from a straight contour to a rounded one, improving the fit and comfort for the arm.
2. Slim C Shape for Modern Playing Styles
Incorporating feedback from players in both Japan and the U.S., weâve adopted a Slim C-shaped neck that accommodates a wide range of styles, from lead to rhythm. The âStandard Plusâ features a 42.00mm TUSQ nut. The roll-off on the sides of the fingerboard is precision-machined, with the neck thickness set at 20.00mm at the 1st fret and 22.4mm at the 12th fret. This design ensures stress-free playing for both open and power chords, delivering exceptional playability.
The Professional series features a compound radius
A compound radius is a high-precision tapered fretboard profile where the R-value of the fretboard gradually increases from the lower to the upper positions (the R becomes more gradualâmeaning it is rounder in the lower positions and flatter as it moves toward the upper positions). This design helps prevent choking sounds during bends in the upper positions and is recommended for players who prefer a lower string action.
3. The "Reflectone" Hi-Fi Pickup, Developed in Collaboration with Rupert Neve Design
Developed and manufactured in-house by Yamaha in collaboration with Rupert Neve Designâfounded by Rupert Neve, the man behind numerous legendary pro audio devicesâthis pickup utilizes Alnico V magnets. By researching and developing the number of windings, winding method, and pole piece height from the ground up, it achieves a highly balanced sound that combines powerful low end with "sparkling" high end.
4. Acoustic Design-Based Sound Analysis Technology
"Acoustic Design" is a design process that utilizes Yamahaâs proprietary acoustic analysis and 3D modeling. To emphasize the midrange through "enhanced coupled vibration" between the body and neck, and to reproduce tight, clear bass by adjusting the low-frequency vibration, the following modifications have been made:
ă»"Slit" machining on the body
ă»Shortening the headstock and neck
ă»Improved control cavity milling design (milled using an NC router)
I.R.A. (Initial Response Acceleration)
I.R.A. is a technique that applies vibrations specific to the guitar to the finished instrument, thereby relieving stress between the finish and the wood. It brings the guitar to a condition similar to that of a guitar that has been played for many years.
