At the heart of the âRS02CBâ lies a special P90-style pickup co-developed with Chris.
âThereâs nothing better than the sound of this wonderful P90-style pickup. Itâs dynamic and responsiveâa true bridge between acoustic resonance and electric sound,â says Chris.
Deliberately tuned to a lower output, this pickup was designed through countless prototypes, from the number of coil windings to the selection of magnets.
This delivers a clear and delicate response at low volumes and a powerful, open tone when driven.
It offers a wide range of natural expressiveness that responds to the playerâs touch.
Body chambered based on "Acoustic Design"
Designed based on Yamahaâs proprietary âAcoustic Designâ process, which utilizes acoustic analysis, the body features optimal chambering that achieves both a rich resonance and reduced weight.
Furthermore, the use of a carbon-reinforced neck enhances strength and stability. The result is a well-balanced guitar that is ideal for the stage.

The RS02CB features a wrap-around bridge inherited from Chrisâs original custom model.
